So here we are, December 31, 2024, and I’m writing my first post on my site – Half Century Girl. In 2025 I will turn 50. It’s exciting. It’s scary. I don’t know what the next half century will hold, but it feels like this is a good time to reflect on where I’ve been and figure out where I want to go next. I have a million ideas (okay, maybe only like 20), but ideas have never been my problem. Figuring out how to do all the things I want to do, and making time to do them is the bigger challenge. Starting a blog is just one of the ideas I have for this year, but it seemed like a good place to start. Having the blog means that maybe there will be some accountability for me to do the other things on the list. Hopefully it’ll also be a way to capture the things I try and remember the steps I’ve taken on this new journey. If you’re reading this, thank you. I will try to keep things interesting and post as often as possible. Please be kind. If I’m not your cup of tea, that’s ok. I’m sure there’s someone else that’s more your taste.
